A sense of design and urbanism built from the ground up perfectly fits a company building its reputation on a commitment to support geothermal and radiant heating and sustainable technology. Suggesting its agrarian surroundings with use of natural colors and textures, the outside siding is concrete board with horizontal battens, with an upper section of corrugated metal. Horizontal ribbon windows maximize sunlight through a southern exposure, and as seasons change, rectangular bar grating steel awnings provide refreshing summer shade and allow in plenty of winter sun. Inside, the floor plan relies on an angled wall to draw a dramatic look to the company logo behind the reception desk on the far wall. Using available space more efficiently, the wall’s slant creates a larger lobby and conference room. Large offices, a break room and central workroom complete this design.
